At 17 years of age Jos Aquiles long career was starting to catch up with him. As an upper level 3 day eventer, he had the typical where and tear that began to dramatically show up on his joints.

He was retired from upper level competition back in 2017 but came out of retirement to compete with his new owner Annie, in the 1.10 meter classes.
